The Barn at Shady Lane

 

It began with a young couple just sharing life together and finding great joy in using their gifts to serve others and the One who loves them most.  After raising four sons and living in some of the prettiest places in the US, they have settled in the heart of Dixie and have found a place to launch their dream.

The Barn at Shady Lane is all about love and all about walking out life together.  The serene grounds, the pastoral pond, the sprawling oaks, dogwoods, maples and redbuds and the beauty and simplicity of The Barn all make for a perfect backdrop for your special occasion.  

This fully air-conditioned rustic venue features the gifts of architect Michael O'Kelley, design/build firm "MG&A" and the craftsmanship of dozens of men who are passionate about every detail.  Enter the barn and you won't believe your eyes.  The Bride's Loft, fully furnished with vintage couches, rugs, chandeliers and bathrooms, overlooks the spacious venue and provides the perfect place for the bride and her ladies to prep for the day.  On the main floor, the interior surfaces feature the work of the craftsmen of River Bottom Pine.  Circle sawn pine, rough sawn beams and gorgeous tongue and groove pine ceiling all bring a warmth and intimacy to your event while being illuminated by the custom built, hammered iron chandelier by local craftsman, Darren Hardman.
